How to collect degree if I missed convocation?

If you missed the IGNOU convocation and need to collect your degree, you can typically follow these steps:

  1. Get in touch with the regional center of IGNOU that is responsible for your area or the regional center where you were enrolled. They will provide guidance on the process for collecting your degree.
  2. Inform the regional center about missing the convocation and express your desire to collect your degree in person or through another method.
  3. There might be a fee associated with collecting your degree. Make sure to inquire about this and pay any required fees as instructed by the regional center.
  4. Depending on the regional center’s policies, you may be able to collect your degree in person or request it to be sent to you via mail/courier. Clarify your preference with the regional center.
  5. When collecting your degree certificate, ensure you bring appropriate identification documents such as your enrollment card, government-issued ID, or any other documents requested by the university.

Remember degrees and diplomas are not given to anyone other than the student. It is always recommended to collect degrees and diplomas by the student himself/herself.
